During their respective spring breaks, Upward Bound students from Norristown and Pottstown high schools spent a day at the College’s campuses for an optional “Scholarship Boot Camp,” facilitated by Upward Bound Director Nicole Henderson and Coordinator Ronald Whitaker II.
Approximately 16 students, mostly high school seniors, learned about how to research, identify and apply for college grants. In June, 100% of the first cohort of Upward Bound students, who started the program in 2008 as freshmen, will graduate from high school.
