Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce that 100 percent of its 2010 Radiography graduates passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Certifying Examination. A total of 13 students graduated from the College’s Radiography program in May.
The comprehensive exam covers the entire two-year Radiography curriculum. It is comprised of five sections, including radiation protection; equipment operation and quality control; radiographic procedures, patient care and education; and image production and evaluation.
Students are eligible to take the examination following graduation. Upon passing, the students become Registered Technologists (R.T.), which enables them to work anywhere in the United States and Puerto Rico.
