This fall, Souderton Area High School students can get a jump start on college with Montgomery County Community College’s new Online Dual Enrollment Program.
Starting with the 201-2012 school year, Souderton high school students can enroll and take online college courses to earn college credits and high school elective credits — all in the comfort and convenience of their homes.
The Online Dual Enrollment Program provides several advantages for families. Students can accumulate college credits at an affordable cost. Online courses allow more flexibility for students to fit the courses into their schedules and complete the assignments and exams. And, studying at home eliminates commuting time and fuel expenses.
Online courses may also enhance and enrich students’ overall educational experience and provide high-achieving students with more academically challenging material. Additionally, the online dual enrollment program prepares students for their college experiences after high school graduation.
High school students who are age 15 years or old and meet the pre-requisites for the courses they want to take are eligible to apply.
