The January 2012 edition of Research & Practice looks at the transfer patterns of the College’s former students and their success at transfer institutions from FY 2005-FY 2010. Data was obtained by submitting the date of students’ last enrollment to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to ascertain if a student transferred to a four-year institution.
The study reveals that several institutions consistently graduate a greater proportion of the College’s former students, including Thomas Jefferson, Eastern, LaSalle, Villanova, Cabrini, and Penn State. The study also revealed that students who first graduate from the College before they transfer are more likely to graduate from their transfer institutions.
The study also revealed that students often take longer to graduate from the most popular transfer destinations.
