Community College Week, an independent magazine serving community, technical and junior colleges, has ranked Montgomery County Community College among the ‘Top 50 Associate Degree Producers” in the country in three categories for 2012.
In the category of Science Technologies and Technicians, the College is ranked 21st for the number of degrees conferred. Degrees offered in this area include Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) and Associate in Science (A.S.) in Biotechnology, Biomanufacturing and Molecular Techniques; A.A.S. in Technical Studies; and A.A.S. in Nanofabrication Technology.
In the category of Education, the College is ranked 43rd for the number of degrees conferred. Education degrees offered by the College include Associate of Arts (A.A) programs in Education in the Early Years: Birth through Fourth Grade and in Secondary Education. The College also offers a 30-credit Childcare Certificate program and a three-course Core Director’s Credential Certificate for center directors.
In the category of Communication, Journalism and Related Programs, the College is ranked 38th for the number of degrees conferred in its popular Communications programs. Degrees offered by the College include an A.A. degree in Communications and A.A.S. programs in Digital Broadcasting, Digital Audio Production and Digital Design, which has options in Multi-Media and Computer Graphics.
