Members of the editorial team of Montgomery County Community College’s student newspaper, The Montgazette, garnered two awards and one Honorable Mention in the Two-Year College Division of the 2013 Student Keystone Press Awards Contest, a statewide journalism contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation.

Editor and writer Amanda Dioszeghy, Phoenixville, took second place in the General News category for her article, “Students Paying More for MCCC Education,” and received an Honorable Mention for her column, “From the Editor.”

Photographers Sean King, North Wales, and Robert Hunt, Norristown, took first place in the Photo Story category for their photos of “Clinton Visits to Stomp for President Obama.”

“I’m pleased that The Montgazette  has again received professional recognition for its articles, columns and photography,” said Harry Yanoshak, faculty adviser. “Congratulations to all.”
